France Etalons’ team is happy to launch its new podcast: Paroles d’éleveurs
The goal of this podcast is to come to breeders, hear their story, their success (and failures) and the values that built them. Throughout this conversations, we invite you to discover these Horsemen and Women that were at the source of some of the best performers worldwide.
For this first episode of Paroles d’Éleveurs, we met with Mickaël Varliaud, heading the Élevage Riverland, worldly renown for its offspring performances. Among them, we particulary know DOHA, DERBY, ARQANA or even ELEVEN DE RIVERLAND.
Together with his team, he built his breeding for years aroung an exclusive selection of his mares, a rigorous management of the feeding and his horses and a clear vision of what it takes to breed a modern sport horse.
In this episode, Mickael will talk about the “Riverland” story, its philosophy, the selection, the system, his choices… and the way he built everything up to meet today’s high level expectations.
He also shares his own breeder experience, the successes that made what he is now, but also his doubts and the lessons he got to learn, and also the stakes breeders can face today.
